As my next eBook is in the final stages of being published and distributed, I’d like to discuss another important category of a shot list: The Underbelly.
This image is of a scene in Alexandria, Egypt, and was made while I was leading a photo tour of Egypt in November of 2010, just before the revolution and what came to be known as the Arab Spring.
About the Book
The new book I’ve just completed is based on my app for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch® called My Shot Lists for Travel, and I created it in iBooks Author, a wonderfully robust program for the Mac that makes creating an eBook fairly simple, although that by no means is meant to imply easy. As you can imagine, it’s a long process to write a book, and when it’s completely ready I’ll be sure to make a big announcement.
The idea for the book, as with the app, is to help people to bring back a more well-rounded set of images that truly creates a cultural portrait of a place, and the working title is
